He is a certified diversity executive through the Society for Diversity. He is also a certified fund raising executive through CFRE International and has a certificate of fund raising management from the Fund Raising School. Marshawn has extensive experience in government, non-profit, business sectors as well as leading major civic initiatives.

He has an MBA from the Kelley School of Business and an MPA for the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
